Did you know? During World War I, British Navy personnel turned the rooftop of the tower into… a mini-farm! They kept chickens for fresh eggs and even cultivated lettuce and other vegetables to supplement their diet!

How much can a tower hold within its walls? Join us as we climb all six floors of Thessaloniki’s most recognizable monument and explore its rich and complex history through captivating storytelling, original testimonies, archival photographs, and curated exhibitions that transport you centuries back.
The White Tower is not just a landmark — it's a living symbol of the city. The experience culminates with a 360° panoramic view over Thermaikos Gulf and Thessaloniki, sealing a journey through time that will truly captivate you!

  • The tour takes place rain or shine
  • Please arrive at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start time
